At Least 55 Killed in Class Room Attack in Kabul

KABUL – At least 55 people were killed and 65 were injured as a result of a suicide bombing in a classroom in Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul on Wednesday evening.

According to Locals, around hundred students were present in the classroom when the blast occurred. However, Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) confirmed that 47 people were dead and 67 others wounded who were moved to hospital.

The explosion happened at about 4.10 pm local time outside the Mawoud Academy, police said.

Photos on social media indicated that the explosion happened inside what could be a classroom at Mawoud Academy. However, officials have not yet disclosed details.
